ASHLEY CHANDLER HEAD COACH

Ashley Chandler  was one of the most impactful swimmers to ever race for the Golden Bears.  As a mid-distance swimmer for the Golden Bears, Ashley was an NCAA Champion, US National Team Member, and Team Captain.  Ashley grew up training in a more traditional, yardage based program.  Once arriving at CAL, Ashley's eyes were open to a different approach to swimming and training.  She fully believes in the importance of focusing on the details of swimming, such as the starts, turns and under water works.  Ashley also believes in teaching individualized technique, which allows swimmers to develop their own relationship with the water.  

This past summer, Ashley had the chance to coach the Sun Valley Rays. Her experience in working with 4 year olds to 18 years olds has served her in preparation for the FALL clinic.  She has also served as the head counselor of the CAL Swim Camps and thus brings a myriad of experince to the FALL clinic.

Kristen Lewis Cunnane-Swim Golden Bear Team Director. 

Kristen is currently serving as the Assistant Swim Coach at the University of California Berkeley.  As the team director for Swim Golden Bear, she has determined the goals of the program and a comprehanisve plan to achieve these goals.

Kristen grew up in Moraga, and competed for both MCC and OAPB.  She was an All American and Team Captain for the UCLA Bruins and was also an NCAA Post Graduate Scholar.  In 2005, Kristen packed up her bags and headed North to learn from Coach Teri McKeever at CAL.  Since 2005, Kristen has served the CAL Bears first as a Graduate Assistant and now as a full time Assistant Coach.
